  • Intersectionality
  • Research
  • Community Mediation

Ana is an anthropologist, social mediator and teacher with experience in research, education and social action. With the aim of contributing to combating inequalities, Ana studied a master’s degree in anthropology (University of Tallinn) and a master’s degree in conflict resolution and social mediation (European-Atlantic University).

The main axes of her practice as a researcher have revolved around gender and interculturality. Now, at Ecoserveis, she is part of the branch of social sciences and humanities within the entity, since research in sustainability recognises that environmental problems, such as climate change, loss of biodiversity and resource depletion, bring about grand societal challenges. Thus, she believes that interdisciplinarity and intersectionality are the optimal approaches to better understanding these processes both globally and locally, as well as to building, together, more just and sustainable futures.
