Two free training courses are now available to help prevent and reduce energy poverty situations that can affect people with disabilities. If you work in a city council, an entity or a service for people, train yourself and incorporate new tools into your professional practice. And if you know people or entities who could use these resources, share them.
People with disabilities may have specific energy needs that increase their vulnerability to energy poverty. Therefore, detecting these situations, knowing energy rights and knowing what resources are available is key to being able to act.
In this context, from Ecoserveis, together with other entities and within the framework of the European project ASSERT , we have developed two free training courses available in Catalan and Spanish .
Do you work with people with disabilities? This training is for you.
The first training is designed especially for municipal technical staff, entities that work with people with disabilities and professionals and organizations in the social, energy and community fields .
Specifically, the training provides practical tools that help to:
- Detect situations of vulnerability and energy poverty.
- Inform and better support people.
- Make available the resources available.
- Facilitate knowledge and exercise of energy rights.
Therefore, if you work with people with disabilities, this training will allow you to incorporate new knowledge and resources into your professional practice.

On the other hand, ASSERT also makes shorter and more accessible training available to people with disabilities . In this case, it is designed to offer useful knowledge for day-to-day life at home.
Among other issues, the training offers advice and resources for:
- Better understand energy bills.
- Improve home comfort and efficiency.
- Learn about available grants and discounts.
- Reduce energy consumption.
Get trained and help spread these resources further.
Both training courses are free and available in Catalan and Spanish . In this way, we want to make it easier for this knowledge and tools to reach both professionals and people who may need them.
