Description
ASSIST brings together 11 organisations from 6 European countries and a European association in the fight against energy poverty. This project, funded by the H2020 programme, seeks to promote the active involvement of users in the energy market, in addition to generating a positive change in behaviour regarding energy use, with the intention of influencing the design of policies at different levels to combat the problems arising from energy poverty.
At Assist we create networks of energy agents, people trained to advise energy users on strategies to improve the efficiency of their homes and reduce energy costs. In this way, we manage to multiply the number of final beneficiaries of the project.
We also produce reports with the aim of understanding more deeply the problems of energy poverty and vulnerable consumers in Europe and promoting solutions to address them.
Ecoserveis participation
In the Spanish side of the project, SAD (Home Care Service) professionals are trained in Barcelona and Maresme. At Ecoserveis we are responsible for training and coordinating the workers. We have chosen SAD technicians to provide advice and support to the final beneficiaries since they already have a very close relationship with the users. In this way, they can have a greater impact on the creation and strengthening of habits and establish a greater emotional bond.
In addition, we collaborate in the writing of specialized reports on energy poverty and consumer vulnerability.
Objectives
- Generate knowledge about vulnerable consumers and energy poverty, creating a clear and global definition to identify the problem.
- Define a professional profile for the figure of the energy agent.
- Reduce energy poverty, especially in families in vulnerable situations.
- Promote the active participation of users in the energy market.
