Description
Fuel Poverty Group is an initiative that aims to prevent energy poverty from a strategic, innovative and pioneering scope and to prevent families from having energy expenses that are so high that they cannot cope with them. The project follows the same philosophy of many French, English, Portuguese and Hungarian social entities, with Asset Building services, that is, self-construction of heritage. This type of service aims to increase the self-sufficiency and dignity of the most vulnerable population by providing them with the knowledge and resources necessary to enhance their access to services such as quality education or decent housing. To do this, we have more than 60 volunteers and more than 2,000 users served.
Objectives
- Guarantee access to energy supplies to ensure that people with social vulnerability live with dignity.
Ecoserveis participation
Together with ABD, we have trained the volunteers of the Fuel Poverty Group so that they achieve the knowledge and skills necessary to advise users on how to improve the energy efficiency of their homes and to promote sustainable savings strategies over time, with the aim of reducing energy poverty. While Ecoserveis is responsible for the training and technical support, ABD leads the management of the volunteers.
