With almost 15 years in the energy sector, she is convinced that a fair energy transition is possible and necessary. She is a project manager and energy consultant at Ecoserveis.
Mercè she did a double diploma in Mathematics and Statistics and Telecommunications Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia and the École des Mines in Paris. She later completed a Masters in Public Administration at the London School of Economics with a specialization in Development Economics.
She worked on regulation of the electricity and gas markets, focusing on the protection of vulnerable consumers and energy poverty, and on the integration of non-economic aspects in impact assessment. She also has experience participating in European projects in self-consumption, flexibility and energy communities. She influenced the preparation of the Clean Energy Package in these aspects. She began working as a project analyst in renewable energy in the United States and Indonesia.
