People hired to perform the tasks of the Energy Empowerment Occupational Plan are trained to become specialized energy agents in the domestic sector. The training includes a practical part that consists of performing interventions in vulnerable user households referred from the Social Services of Figueres.

Ecoserveis has trained the energy agents, offering them technical training structured in four blocks:

1. Poverty and energy poverty.
2. Basic energy concepts.
3. Contracts and invoicing energy.
4. Improvement of household habits and insulation.

In addition, it has coordinated and supervised both energy informants and energy agents. The former are in charge of scheduling visits to homes previously selected by Social Services while energy agents carry out the interventions in the homes. Under the supervision of Ecoserveis, they analyse the household and collect data on the user’s personal situation, install low-cost measures to improve energy efficiency and insulation, offer advice on improving users’ consumption habits and advise them on their energy bills and contracts.
