EU Scenarios is a project led by the French association Négawatt where entities from many countries participate. The project aims to provide a vision of how Europe will look like in 2050. To do this, it takes into consideration sectors like the industry, the residential, the transport, the energy and the agriculture ones. It answers questions on the different goals to be achieved or on which trajectories to choose for the coming years. It is also expected to develop policies that will pave the way for a carbon-neutral Europe by 2050.

The development of the Spanish scenario for 2050 and to support coordination with other countries, communication and the proposal of measures and policies according to the objectives that have been set.

The aim is to create scenarios that reflect the environmental and political situation of the different European countries in 2050, as well as the needed measures to reach them. Beyond quantitative indicators, the project wants to support the development of environmental policies so that administrations can move towards a sustainable model and make the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions easier.
